You will access my classes via Zoom. For the best experience, I recommend downloading the app for your favourite device.

At this time I am not offering recordings of my livestreamed classes. Because I prefer to see my students in gallery view, I opt not to record you while you are practicing in order to protect your privacy. I am considering offering recordings as a benefit at a later date. For now, you are welcome to access my pre-recorded classes with your subscription to doyogawithme.com

You will receive a confirmation email as soon as you register for the session on the month. Two days before each class, you will receive a reminder email that contains your Zoom link for your upcoming class.

Over the past few years of teaching online, here are some of my best tips to making the most of practicing online from home:
Enlarge your screen! You can connect your device to your TV with an HDMI cable (if you are using a tablet/iPad, you may need a converter), or if you have a smart TV, you may be able to screencast.
Optimize your sound. Connect your device to an external speaker via Bluetooth or audio/AUX cable. This will give you richer sound, especially for the playlists I share.
Choose ACTIVE SPEAKER mode on Zoom to see me better. When everyone else is muted, Zoom will focus on the one person who is talking (me!).
Create a sacred space. If possible, find a room or corner of your space that you can covert into your own little yoga sanctuary. Adorn it with objects that inspire you, light some candles, ignite your aromatherapy diffuser.
Invest in or get creative with props. Read this blog post for some ideas for converting household items into yoga props, or follow the links in the post to treat yourself to your own set. (My PRO tip: if you are going to invest in ONE prop, opt for a rectangular bolster! You can use it for a variety of non-yoga uses, and it is the most tricky to re-create at home)
Why practice yoga online with me?
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw how vital it was to stay connected to students and help ease the collective stress and discomfort we were all experiencing. When it became clear that we would have to forgo our usual in-person classes, I quickly pivoted to teaching online. And I surprised myself by enjoying it - once I had figured out how to manage, and then optimize, all the tech!
As we moved together through the stages and surges, and lost so many of the sacred spaces that once hosted our communities, I recognized that the yoga industry was no longer what it once was. In order to stay connected, I needed to stay agile. And so I continue to offer online classes, even as life has taken on a new normal.
There are plenty of resources for recorded yoga videos (you can even find mine on Do Yoga With Me). But for those of us who crave connection in real time, who need a reason to show up and be accountable to ourselves, who crave the support of community, who love the convenience of not leaving your home, or who choose to practice with me from afar, live online classes continue to be a great option.
